Shirts and MINT Market 2024 Prague
Vojta UhlířMINT Market annually runs the largest fashion, jewelry and design markets in the Czech Republic. For both start-ups and medium-sized businesses, it is an ideal opportunity to take your leather to the market and sell your (mostly handmade) products.
So I decided to try my luck here and go to the market with flax 🌾. For me, as a programmer, it was a big step out of my comfort zone and something completely new. So far , I've only had experience with a few small events.
I went to my first market in the summer of 2023 in Svitavy, when I had my first 20 sewn linen shirts, still hot from the needle. Back then, I didn't even have a website 💁♂️. The day after that, I tried my luck at the Ecstatic Dance Prague event at the Hostivařská dam, and a few months later, I headed to the Kreativ Litomyšl market with my linen shirts.
So when I saw MINT Market in Prague on the list, I thought it would be another challenge and I'm going for it 💪.
The market took place on Sunday, April 14th at Pražská náplavka, a traditional location for design and farmers' markets. The temperatures outside were record-breaking for spring, which not only helped the mood of all participants, which was really great, but also helped the sales of breathable linen shirts 👕.
Even before the official start of ten o'clock in the morning, the first customer stopped by the stand in a running suit, having just run across the embankment. And before I could hang all the shirts on the hangers, one of them had already made its way to its new wearer. The lady thus kicked off the all-day run of Shirts by Uhlíř at MINT Market.
The entire MINT market was an incredible experience and I felt very grateful that people are so interested in Czech quality products 🇨🇿. They were enthusiastic and I received a lot of beautiful positive reactions. All the business cards disappeared and almost all the shirts too.
Thank you for being able to do this. And for doing something that makes sense to you. 🙏

The chair entertained everyone. There were also those who welcomed the rest 😁.

I enjoyed discussions with customers.
